Mr. Perry Biography

  • Mr. Perry teaches 5-12 Instrumental Music classes at Sioux Central.  A native of Aurelia, Mr. Perry attended The University of South Dakota and received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education in 2005.  His major instrument is tuba and minor instrument is bass trombone.

    Mr. Perry taught 5-12 Band in Garretson, SD from 2005-2011.  He accepted the position with Sioux Central in 2011.  He also serves as the Director of the Storm Lake Municipal Band, which he started in 2016.

    Mr. Perry resides in Peterson with his wife Rainie, son Hunter, and daughter Piper.  Mr. Perry is a member of Iowa Bandmasters Association (IBA) and Northwest Iowa Bandmasters Association (NWIBA).  Mr. Perry is an active performing member of the Dick Bauman Big Band that plays in Okoboji during the summer.  He is also a member of the Peterson Lions Club and The Goldwing Road Riders Association (GWRRA).

    In his free time Mr. Perry enjoys spending time with his family, riding and working on vintage motorcycles, hunting, fishing, shooting sports, and tinkering in the garage.
