My Resources

  • In this section you will find general class materials (i.e. MLA guides, syllabus, etc.) and any other information or links that pertain to class.

www.SmartMusic.com - This is a GREAT program that we will utilize this year.  Smart Music is an interactive practice tool that actually makes practicing fun.  I encourage you to visit the main page and view the two videos that they have.

www.musictheory.net - Ricci Addams created this site that can help anyone out with any problems with music theory.  It also have some great trainers that can help with fingerings/slide positions (brass trainer), note reading (note trainer), or aural pitch matching (ear trainer).  If nothing else it will let you print off blank staff paper right from your computer.  For the classic site with the brass trainer you need to go to http://classic.musictheory.net/.

http://www.beginningsax.com/Saxophone%20FAQs.htm - This is a good site that answers a lot of really good questions about starting on the saxophone.  Many issues/topics will cross over to other instruments.
