Graduated from Hinton HS in 1982
Graduated from Morningside College in 1993 with a History major, American History, World History, and Government. My minor is in Physical Education.
My education has never stopped.
Golfing, Hunting, Snowmobiling, Reading, Building models, Movies, Spending time with friends and family.
Grew up on a farm just outside Hinton, Iowa where my parents still live. I entered the Marine Corps in the spring of 1986, and ended my service January 1, 1990. In the Marines my MOS was 0811 - artillery. While in, I lived in Hawaii for three years, Okinawa for 6 months, and South Korea for a month. The Corps was one of the best things that ever happened to me. It made me grow up. I moved to Albert City in 1996, Sioux Rapids in 2001, and currently live in Peterson since the spring of 2009

I teach Civics to the 7th grade, U.S. History to 8th grade, Modern U.S. History to Juniors, and A.P. U.S. History to Juniors also. Coach Middle School track boys & girls.

I want every individual who enters this room to come in with questions, an open mind to a variety of ideas, and a willingness to discuss any relevant issues. This class will be what you make it, and that includes how much effort you put into it. I expect you, as students, to ask questions so that you may better understand any links, or cause & effect in history. You must have an open mind towards all historical inquiry lest we fail to find new answers to old questions. Discussion is the foundation of this class and all view points are valued.
