Find Your Fire
As athletes, so much is constantly being demanded of us-- physically, mentally, and emotionally. It is extremely challenging to give your everything, day in and day out, for such a long season. I will say it again: It. Is. Challenging. We understand. However, this is not an excuse to do less than your best.
In order to find success, you need to Find Your Fire. In other words, figure out what drives you. Why do you come to practice every day? Why do you push your body past its limits? What are you looking to accomplish? Who/what are you playing for? "Finding Your Fire" allows you to get a clearer picture of where you want to be, and what exactly you're working your tail off for.
Goal setting...something everybody talks about, but few actually do. The SMART Goal Setting Diagram helps break goals down into more realistic and attainable targets to strive for. There are a multitude of different types of goals. There can be big and bold long term goals, or they can be smaller stair-step short term goals. They can be individual or team oriented.
