Welcome to Sioux Central's Counseling Department webpage. Our purpose as school counselors is to empower all learners to lead satisfying and productive lives by assisting them in identifying and achieving educational, career, personal and social goals. Our department works on a cooperative level involving students, parents, staff members, and the community. We are here to help, and look forward to getting to know each student and helping them make the best use of the rich opportunities available at Sioux Central.

School Counseling Department Mission Statement: "The mission of the comprehensive school counseling program is to ensure all students acquire competencies needed in academic, career, and social/emotional development to allow them to be productive and responsible citizens."

Comprehensive School Counseling Program: Sioux Central's Comprehensive School Counseling Program delivers developmentally appropriate activities and services directly to students or indirectly for students as a result of the school counselor's interaction with others. These activities and services help students develop the ASCA Mindsets & Behaviors for Student Success and improve their achievement, attendance and discipline.

Direct Student Services: Instruction, Appraisal and Advisement, Counseling.

Indirect Student Services: Consultation, Collaboration, Referrals.

Mrs. Wildeman

Wendy Wildeman, Elementary School Counselor

Mrs. Wildeman is the Elementary School Counselor and works with students in grades PK-7th.
