DISTRICT INFORMATION

Sioux Central Community School District is a rural district located in Northwest Iowa. It is comprised of multiple small communities including Linn Grove, Rembrandt, Peterson, Sioux Rapids, and Webb. It is approximately 20 miles south of Spencer and 20 miles north of Storm Lake. The area is 1.5 hours from Sioux City and Fort Dodge, 2 hours from Sioux Falls, S.D. and 3 hours from Des Moines and Omaha. The Iowa Great Lakes region is located within a quick hour’s drive.

The Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade facility was newly built in 1997 on a 28.98 acre site south of Sioux Rapids along Highway 71. The building is 110,000 square feet and is climate controlled. In 2017 Sioux Central added 4 classrooms, locker rooms, multi-purpose room, a new gymnasium, and football/track complex. Sioux Central serves approximately  663 Pre-K—12 students.
