“Hidden in Plain Sight”

“Hidden in Plain Sight” is a unique, interactive exhibit and presentation which will take place at 4-8 on Thursday, August 19th at Sioux Central Community School District.

Hosted by Sioux Central Schools, this community presentation will bring adults into a “mock teenager bedroom”.  The adults will explore the exhibit, identifying indicators of substance abuse and other risky behaviors.  The “Hidden In Plain Sight” program offers adults an insight into what youth may be hiding in their rooms through this interactive exhibit.  Participants will learn about different types of drug paraphernalia available for the use, processing, and concealment of illicit drugs.  After spending time in the exhibit area, the 5C Coalition from Clayton County will offer resources to address adolescent behaviors and spot warning signs.

“Hidden In Plain Sight” will be held in the commons area  The event begins at 4 p.m. when adults can explore the “mock bedroom” and pick up resources.  The event is free and open to the public.  Sioux Central encourages everyone to attend and participate in this unique event.
