Sra. Hoffman's Lifeguarding May term class is completing their final day at Spencer YMCA! Eight #SiouxCentral students have been watching videos, strengthening water skills, as well as practicing CPR for adult and infants scenarios with Spencer YMCA Aquatic Director Felica Dusing. Today they are testing in water and on paper. Passing both tests will earn students their lifeguard certification!

Mr. Anderson’s Outdoor Iowa Mayterm class spent the day enjoying the great outdoors at Gabrielson Park & Gustafson Lake near Sioux Rapids, casting lines, making memories, and learning beyond the walls of the classroom. From first catches to fish stories that may or may not get bigger by tomorrow… it was a "reel" good day. We love seeing students explore everything Iowa has to offer while building skills, friendships, and a little patience between bites. #SiouxCentralRebels #RebelsInTheMiddle

This afternoon, we celebrated an incredible group of Sioux Central Preschool graduates! From learning letters and numbers to making friendships and memories, these little Rebels have grown so much this year. #SiouxCentralRebels #BuildingRebels

Ridge View is traditional cash for tonight's games.

The walkthrough will begin in the entryway by the main office, continue through the high school wing, and finish out by the track as students and staff send our athletes off to State. Good luck to all of our athletes competing at State Track! We’re proud of you and can’t wait to cheer you on! #SiouxCentralRebels #FullThrottleRebels

Hello Sioux Central Community,
It is incredibly exciting to see a vision quite literally taking shape, piece by piece and floor by floor. There is a distinct shift in energy when a project moves from blueprints to concrete reality, especially when the features that give a building its character start appearing.
The outside work on the entrance steps and that large, south-facing window frame are going to define the face of the facility. Natural light from the south is always a game-changer for a building's atmosphere. At the same time, pouring the second floor of the backstage area is a massive structural step forward. It sets the stage for the interior workflows and gives a real sense of the building's true scale.
Progress like this is a testament to a lot of hard work behind the scenes. It will not be long before those steps are welcoming people through the doors. Thank you and have a great summer! Mr.Wood

The JVR/JV/V baseball games for today have been moved to tomorrow. We will practice today...check your rooms for times/locations.
Apparently Mother Nature checked the calendar and decided tomorrow, Tuesday, May 19 would be a great day for flying kites, but not for Elementary Track and Field Day. If the weather folks are right, we’re looking at winds, cooler temperatures, and a real possibility of small children achieving liftoff during the 100 meter dash. Thursday, May 21, on the other hand, is looking much more promising with sunshine and temperatures around 65 degrees. Now, we all know Iowa weather changes its mind about every 15 minutes, but we’re willing to gamble that Thursday gives us the better shot at a great day. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for rolling with Iowa weather season. See you Thursday-same times...same place!
Best of luck to our Sioux Central Rebels as they head to the 2026 IHSAA State Track & Field Championships!
This group has put in the time, effort, and determination all season long, and we’re excited to cheer them on this week in Des Moines. Good luck, Rebels! #SiouxCentralRebels #RebelLegends #FullThrottleRebels
