FCCLA Iowa Events give students the opportunity to apply real-world skills through projects focused on leadership, career exploration, and community service. Students develop presentations, complete hands-on projects, and are evaluated on their ability to communicate, problem-solve, and make an impact.

“These students have worked incredibly hard to develop projects that not only showcase their skills but also make a positive impact in our community,” said FCCLA advisers Mrs. Hanson and Mrs. Erpelding. “We are extremely proud of their accomplishments and look forward to seeing our national qualifiers continue their success.”

Our TK students had a wheel-y fun time in PE on Monday!
With Mr. B leading the way, they practiced balance, coordination, and safe riding while zooming around on scooters. Lots of smiles, a little bit of speed, and a whole lot of learning happening in motion! Way to roll, TK! #SiouxCentralRebels #BuildingRebels #ARebelKindOfDay

Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Erpelding's Advisory students teamed up to make a difference by picking up trash around the school. It was awesome to see them working together, showing responsibility, and taking pride in keeping our campus clean. Small actions, big impact!

Wellness Wednesday
This week’s focus: Change One Thing
Sometimes small changes can make a big difference, especially when it comes to food and drinks.
Try swapping just one thing today:
• Choose water instead of soda
• Grab crackers or a granola bar instead of chips
• Pick fruit instead of candy
• Add something healthy to your meal instead of taking something away
Small choices like these can help boost energy, improve focus, and help students feel their best throughout the day.
Start with one change. That’s all it takes. #SiouxCentralRebels

Project Update: Building a Future for Our Rebels

I wanted to provide everyone with an exciting update on the progress of our construction project. It has been a productive season, and the transformation of the site is truly remarkable to witness. We have reached a major milestone as all the concrete has been successfully poured, giving us the first real look at the expansive footprint of the interior. It is incredibly rewarding to see the vision finally coming together, from the solid foundation of the new floors to the installation of the windows and frames that are now defining the building's exterior.

The stage area is also coming together nicely, with metal framing and structural work well underway to create a premier performance and gathering space for our school. Currently, crews are utilizing high-reach scaffolding and lifts to complete the essential upper-level work, including HVAC and electrical installations. Once that equipment is cleared and the scaffolding comes down, I look forward to sharing more photos that will capture the full volume and impressive scale of this facility. This is going to be an amazing space for our future students and the entire SC community. Have a great Monday and Go Rebels!
