
Over the next few days we will be highlighting our cast and crew from the play. These freshmen have grown so much since the first rehearsal, and it has been fun to see them step up to the challenge of various roles. Come see them perform in Romeo and Winifred this weekend!





Apparel ordered through the NHS fundraiser are in. You can pick them up in the high school office. If you would like your order sent home with your child email Mrs. Wittmaack at jwittmaack@siouxcentral.org.

There will be a parent meeting for High School Boys wrestling next Monday 11/14 in the library at 6:00pm. If you have a student involved, please plan to attend.

Character Development students are doing a raffle to support the drama club during the 2022 High School Play, Romeo and Winifred. Raffle tickets can be purchased during the play and drawing will be held the last night of the play during intermission.


7th/8th Grade Students and their parents are invited to an informational meeting about the Spring 2024 Washington, D.C. trip on Thursday, November 10 at 6:00 in the Commons. Students were given informational packets at the end of the day on Thursday, November 3. Please contact Mrs. Tate with any questions.

Sioux Central FCCLA attended the Fall Leadership Rally today! A Bonus Award of Recognition was also earned by our very own Allison Ehlers and Jazmin Durazo as the "Grilled Cheese Winners"!!





Swimmers with the boys team from Spencer this winter...there is a meeting on November 3rd at 6:00 p.m. at the Spencer HS. It will be a general sports team meeting followed by a swim team meeting. Please contact Mr. Vasher if you are planning on swimming but can't make the meeting

Students have been hard at work since September preparing for the play Romeo and Winifred: A Tragical Comedy in Two and a Half Acts! Come join the fun Friday, November 11th and Saturday, November 12th at 7:00 pm.

Taking in the 2nd Grade Learning Lab this morning. They are demonstrating “Retelling the middle of a nonfiction narrative text through rereading and a role-playing protocol.” Thank you Mrs. Swanson, Mrs. Richter, and 2nd graders for opening your room to us.

Art Club is hosting a haunted house on Saturday from 6:30pm to 11:30pm. Admission to get into the haunted house is $5 and $2 for an additional trip. In addition there is a few games/activities, a bake sale and the FCCLA's coffee cart.

Congratulations to the Sioux Central boys cross country team: Jack Christian, Joshua Hoffman, Brayden Kramber, Alex Kueny, Nathan Kueny, Leighton Sippel, and Ethan Wernimont, (alternates: Andrew Nelson & Noah Garcia) as well as girls individual qualifier Linnea Bloom for qualifying for the Cross Country State Championship being held at Kennedy Park in Ft. Dodge on Friday, October 28th. Linnea will run at 10:30am, the boys team will run at 11:15am. Students in 6th and 7th grade social studies and High School Geography participated in the Iowa Youth Straw Poll this week! Schools across the state can participate in this event which is put on by Iowa's Secretary of State. First, students discussed the importance of voting to make their voice heard in our government. Before students cast their ballots, they researched candidates to become informed voters! #BeAVoter
