Due to Monday's away track meet, the College Planning and Financial Aid Night has been rescheduled for next Thursday, March 31st from 6-8pm. The College Planning presentation is intended for sophomores, juniors and parents and is from 6-7pm. The Financial Aid Presentation is intended for juniors and parents and is from 7-8pm. Reminder: Sioux Central is hosting a College/Career Planning and Financial Aid Night a week from today - Monday, March 28th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The event is for sophomores, juniors and parents. Topics include career planning, the college admission process, placement tests (ACT), understanding the cost of college, scholarships, financial aid, and more.
The event is put on by the Iowa College Access Network (ICAN) and is sponsored by the Sioux Central Education Association. There will be lots of great information for students and parents to know as they prepare for the future.

The Music Boosters are hosting the "Egg My House" Spring Fundraiser. Senior Head Chefs Lauren Berberich, Lydia Thams, and Brooklyn Cavanaugh prepared a Chick-Fil-A themed meal with tender chicken strips, a cobb salad, Mac & Cheese, and to top it all off, a salted caramel cheesecake cookie for dessert! It was delicious!

Our #SiouxCentral 8th g. students are exploring various high demand careers via virtual reality. Torrey Proctor, PLAEA tech consultant, is facilitating the experience. The program has students perform various tasks related to one of the 18 career fields they choose to explore.

Sioux Central junior Jacob Hargens was named 2nd Team All-State in Class 2A by the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association. Hargens averaged 25.5 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. Jacob is the son of John and Karen Hargens of Greenville.
Mrs. Hanson's FCCLA students hosted a bake sale to support Ania Makarenko's Ukrainian Relief Fund. Along with her club, and the funds/baked goods donated at the Speech Spectacular last night, her students raised $1,137.76. Thanks Rebel community for making a global difference!
Preschool Open House will be March 24th from 5-7 (Open House) for any student who is 3 or 4 by September 15, 2022. You do not have to live in the Sioux Central school district to attend our preschool. To support Ania Makarenko's fundraiser for Ukrainian relief, the SC FCCLA will host a bake sale for students on Tuesday, March 15th & Wednesday, March 16th during lunch. Cost: $2 and 100% of the proceeds will be given to her fundraising efforts.
