The field trip for 2nd--4th grade for tomorrow, Tuesday Feb. 11th, has been canceled due to weather. We are looking into rescheduling but don't have any confirmation on this as this was a special education day. We are so disappointed as we know the kids were so excited.

A few tips if you stop in to see their performances: there will be a $5 donation at the door, and please refrain from wearing any Rebel gear as it gives us a fair advantage against all other schools in NW Iowa.
Come out and enjoy the Freshmen Science Fair in our elementary gym today. We have 48 presentations that are looking to qualify for the state science fair in Ames. Feel free to stop by between 12:45 and 2:30 to listen to the presentations.

The Sioux Central Speech Department will have a pulled pork sandwich meal on Friday, February 7th at the basketball games against GTRA! Proceeds from the meal will support the SC Speech Department with royalties, scripts, and performances! While you're out supporting the Rebel Basketball teams, stop by for some delicious food!

Spencer Hospital’s Community Outreach Committee invited our first-grade students to participate in a fun and educational event today—the Teddy Bear Clinic and Hospital Tour. This engaging experience was designed to help young children become familiar with a hospital environment in a friendly and comforting way.
During the event, each student received a free teddy bear and took on the role of the bear’s nurse or doctor, performing a mock check-up to learn more about healthcare procedures in an interactive setting. In addition to this hands-on activity, students embarked on a guided tour of the hospital, providing them with a welcoming introduction to medical spaces they may encounter in the future. By engaging students in a playful, supportive environment, the hope is to make future medical visits less intimidating. It was so exciting hearing all the kids talk about their bears, what they named them, and all the cool things they saw at the hospital on their visit. Thank you to the Spencer Hospital and other donors for this amazing experience for our kids.
