On Wednesday, some of our National Honor Society students volunteered at People for Pets in Spencer. Students sorted donated aluminum cans. These cans will be returned for the deposit and the money helps to fund their organization. Other students tended to animals in the shelter. The students did an amazing job serving this organization! Great job to those students!
Spring Break started for several SC students by spending their day at Spencer YMCA! Nine #SiouxCentral students completed their pre-test and jumped into their Lifeguarding May Term class already. Thank you Spencer YMCA Aquatic Director Felica Dusing for adjusting your schedule now (and at the end of May) to ensure students can lifeguard at our area schools this summer!!
Reminder...the HS track meet today in Paullina will start at 3:00 p.m. with field events and 3:15 p.m. with running. $6 admission...cash is accepted.
On April 11th, Sioux Central's Clothing and Design Class attended Behind the Scenes Day at Iowa State University! This is one of the largest student-run fashion shows in the nation. Our students dove into the fashion industry and were able to do workshops in draping, pattern-making and fashion illustration. They spoke with 2 employees from Trendsend and curated a box for a client. We finished the day by attending the dress rehearsal for the Fashion Show.

Today, our 1st and 4th grade students enjoyed a special visit to the Sioux Rapids Theater as a reward for earning the most points during “I Love to Read” Month.
Whether it was the comfy seats, time with classmates, or just a fun change of pace, it was a great way to celebrate their success.

Last night’s Elementary Spring Concert was filled with music, smiles, and a little bit of magic — and not just because of our amazing students!
This concert was extra special as we celebrated Ms. Bunge’s FINAL performance as our elementary music teacher. After 19 incredible years of bringing music, joy, and unforgettable memories to Sioux Central, Ms. Bunge is officially retiring!
From the first note to the final bow, her dedication and love for teaching have left a lasting melody in the hearts of every student, family, and staff member.

This Annual Honor Choir event will take place on Tuesday, April 22nd at MOC-FV HS in Orange City. They will sing with approx. 180+ singers. The Choir will rehearse all afternoon and perform at 6:30PM that evening. The concert is open to the public.
