It's that time of year! Basketball season starts Monday, November 25th against Manson Northwest Webster! Come out and watch the girls play some hoops before the Thanksgiving break! Also when you watch a game you need some fuel to help you cheer on those REBELS!!

Sioux Central is excited to share that five of our female coaches and three junior athletes attended the ShePlays Coaching Conference in Ames this week! This event provided an amazing opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with others passionate about athletics and leadership.
We’re proud to see our juniors, Nora Christian, Marley Madsen and Avery Wilson, taking part in this experience that foster confidence, leadership, and a love for being an athlete!


This week sophomores had the opportunity to attend a Career Discovery Day at Iowa Central. Students could select between the following tracks for the day: Business & Accounting, Computer Networking, STEM: Science, STEM: Math, and STEM: CAD/Robotics. Students will have the chance to explore more career fields throughout the year!

Winter Sports are on the way! Middle school boys start basketball games this week, and high school girls are starting practice. Wrestling for middle and high school girls has also started with so much winter fun to come! Good luck to everyone with their season!

Come see The Phantom Tollbooth this Friday and Saturday at the Old School in Sioux Rapids! Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for students and seniors. There will be a special, exciting art raffle starting Friday night and the winner will be announced during intermission of the Saturday show. You won't want to miss it!

The holidays are approaching quickly, and there is a lot happening here at Sioux Central! Recently, we celebrated our veterans, both past and present, with a heartfelt program here at SC. The Junior High Band performed exceptionally well, as always, making the event truly memorable.
Upcoming Events:
The Phantom Tollbooth Performance: Our Fine Arts program will be presenting The Phantom Tollbooth this weekend! Join us for a fantastic two-day show on Friday and Saturday, starting at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children and seniors. Don’t miss this wonderful production!
Girls Wrestling Tournament: SC Girls Wrestling will host their first home wrestling tournament next Friday, November 22, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Come out to support our Lady Rebels!
Thanksgiving Break: Our offices will be closed on November 28-29 for Thanksgiving.
District News:
After Christmas, we’ll be starting the process for bids on an exciting upcoming project. This addition promises to bring wonderful enhancements to our facilities for students, staff, and the community!
For those interested, the district has created Sioux Central calendars for purchase. Available in two sizes, they are priced at $1.00 for the smaller calendar and $2.00 for the larger. You can find them in the elementary or secondary offices, and we plan to have these ready for next year's open house as well.
