Senior Spotlight: Madalyn Forbes
Mady has been in band, jazz band, and choir at SC. Mady says to do music at Sioux Central because "Music is a way to escape reality at school and it allows for a creative environment that also helps with the stress of everyday school". Her favorite song from choir was the "Johnny Cash Medley" and her favorite band piece was "The Greatest Showman". Her favorite memory in the music department was "going on jazz band trips, especially when we visited the National Music Museum in Vermillion." Thank you, Mady!

On April 26, at the Esports Festival hosted by WITCC in Sioux City, attendees participated in five 40-minute sessions. The day began with a presentation on video game design by Steven Chinn, a 3D graphics artist and game design expert. This was followed by a campus tour highlighting WITCC's diverse programs. Participants discussed Esports and STEM careers with various colleges, and after lunch, engaged with the WITCC Esports team during a panel discussion. The event concluded with competitive gaming in the WITCC arena, where participants received gaming tips and Adrian won the Mario Kart bracket.
